OzWIT 2009 - Australian Celebration for Women in IT

Victorian ICT for Women  is organizing its key annual whole day networking event OzWIT 2009 the 1st of December at Monash University, Caulfield Campus - 1st December 2009 with a focus on four key issues:

  1. Changing culture, not just 'working around' the existing culture
  2. Programs in Action:  What is being done
  3. Supporting and encouraging women in ICT and
  4. State of play:  Where are we now?

 APWCT coordinator dr. Patrice Braun wll be presenting the latest developments around the Global Women and Technology  (GWT) Initiative and the Asia-Pacific Centre for Women and Technology (APCWT) within priority 4 Ste of play in the panel focussing on 'Perspectives from inudstry and changing culture' under the heading 'Global women and technology: a partnership of change'

The European Centre for Women and Technology (ECWT) is proud to announce that Bev Hurley, member of the Executive group and Treasurer of the ECWT has been honoured on the 2010 Queen’s Birthday Honours List with the ‘Queens Award for Enterprise Promotion’. The award is given to no more than 10 influential individuals each year, nationally.
